Where is the registration desk located?
The registration desk is located at 305 13th Avenue South.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is at 10:00 am.
Can I check in earlier than 4pm?
If you arrive prior to 4:00 pm, early check-in requests will be handled based on availability. You are welcome to pre-register at the front desk. We suggest bringing a smaller bag with beach wear so that you can begin to enjoy the amenities/beach until your room is ready. If planning to arrive very early, we suggest reserving for the previous night to guarantee immediate access to your room.
Can I get a late check-out?
Late check-out requests are based on availability. We will make every attempt to accommodate your request, however, we are unable to confirm a late check-out request until the day of departure.
What information is needed to check-in?
At check-in, the registered guest will be required to provide a valid driver’s license (photo ID) or government issued ID as well as the license tag number(s), color, make and model of each vehicle in your party, and the credit card used to secure the reservation. The credit card must belong to the registered guest.
What is the minimum check-in age?
Hotel registered guests must be 18 years old or older. Guests under 21 years of age are required to pay a $500 security deposit on a credit card in their name. The deposit is refundable pending any damages or excessive cleaning required. Funds will be released upon inspection of the room and funds may be unavailable for 5-7 Business Days after departure. If the registered guest is not the card holder, they MUST complete a credit card authorization form and process which includes all the following:
- Completed credit card authorization form, including the amount authorized to charge and any required deposits.
- A copy of the front and back of the signed credit card.
- A copy of the card holder’s valid state or government issued driver’s license or ID.
- The signatures on the authorization form, credit card and identification MUST match.
An authorization form is required even if cardholder is present.
How much is the room deposit at Sea Mist?
- All guests are required to pay a $100 Security Deposit on a debit or credit card upon check-in. This deposit is refundable pending damages.
- The first night’s stay plus tax is required to book a reservation. Reservations without an advance deposit will be cancelled.
- A Cleaning Fee of $40.00 will be added to all two-bedroom units.
- A cleaning fee of $150.00 will be added to all 3-bedroom units or larger.
When is the balance for my reservation due?
The balance of the reservation is due at check-in. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. NO CASH is accepted.
Does Sea Mist accept checks or cash?
No, we do not accept checks. We accept major credit and debit cards; VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. No cash will be accepted for any payment.
Do you charge extra for children or adults?
We do not charge extra for children under 18 years. However, after two adults there is a $10.00 per night per additional person over 17 years of age.
How far are you from the airport and do you have a shuttle?
We are located about 1.7 miles away from Myrtle Beach International Airport. We do not have an airport shuttle but there are several taxi services in the area.
Do you charge for parking?
One parking pass per bedroom is included in the nightly Resort Fee. Parking is $5 per additional vehicle and may be purchased at the Registration desk. There is parking located at most of our buildings on a first come first serve basis and a 5-level parking deck located at the same building as registration.
What is the cancellation policy?
By purchasing our Vacation Protection Plan, your reservation is protected until 11 AM on the day of check-in. This includes a complete refund of your deposit in the case of a cancellation. The Vacation Protection Plan also includes complimentary changes to your reservation as well as early departures (not applicable to minimum night stay requirements). You have until 11 AM on the check-in date to make any changes /cancellations to your reservation at no charge. In the case of cancellation, you will receive a refund in full for the deposit amount, less the cost of the plan.
Not purchasing the Vacation Protection Plan guests will be charged $25.00 for any changes to a reservation. The reservation deposit is non-refundable, and no changes can be made within 14 days of your arrival date, and no refunds will be given for the early departure. To add the VPP plan after the reservation is made contact the VPP vacation protection planner team at 800.732.6478 within 24 hours of booked reservation, to give you peace of mind and protect you from any unforeseen circumstances.
What happens if I need to check-out earlier than planned?
Only if you choose to purchase the Vacation Protection Plan (VPP), you will receive a refund for any unused nights. This does not apply to minimum night requirements.
Is there coffee and tea in the rooms?
There are coffee makers in each room. However, coffee and coffee filters or tea are not provided.
Are there hair dryers in the rooms?
No, there are not any hair dryers in the rooms. We suggest packing your favorite hairdryer. We may have a limited supply available at request.
Is Sea Mist pet friendly?
Yes, pets are a part of family also. There are specific units reserved for those who have pets. The pet policy is as follows:
- All guests will be asked to sign a responsibility waiver at check-in.
- Sea Mist welcomes all small to medium-sized dogs and cats not to exceed 100 pounds each.
- Exotic pets are not permitted. Management reserves the right to disallow any pet.
- No more than two pets are allowed per reservation.
- There is a one-time non-refundable $75.00 charge per pet, no matter the duration of the stay.
- All pets brought to Sea Mist must be in good health and must be current with all recommended shots and vaccines.
- Daily housekeeping service is not available to guests traveling with pets. Supplies will be provided upon request.
- Owners will be responsible for any damage caused by their pet.
- All pets must be both well-behaved and people friendly.
- Pets must be on a leash or otherwise confined whenever outside your room. You must always maintain complete control of your pet.
- Pets must be confined in a crate when left alone in your room or at any time that Sea Mist staff is in your room (for instance, maintenance).
- Pets are not permitted on Sea Mist elevators.
- Pets are not allowed in pools, Jacuzzis or water parks or decks.
- Guests must clean up after a pet, both in the room and on Sea Mist grounds. Please bring to the hotel any supplies you will need for removing a pet’s waste (for instance, a litter box or pooper scooper). Sea Mist does not provide these supplies.
- Should a pet become aggressive towards any person or animal, it must be removed from the property at the owner’s expense.
- Sea Mist reserves the right to have any pet immediately removed from Sea Mist Property.
City of Myrtle Beach Leash Law: The leash law is ALWAYS in effect. The maximum leash length is 7 feet. Pet owners must pick up and properly dispose of pet waste.
From May 1 through Labor Day, dogs are allowed on the beach only before 10:00am and after 5:00pm. From the day after Labor Day to April 30 each year, dogs are allowed on the beach at any time of day. (Note: At all times, dogs must be on a leash seven feet or shorter, and you must pick up and properly dispose of waste) *Excludes Service Dogs
Does Sea Mist welcome groups?
At Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort, a group consists of 10 rooms. If you require 10 or more rooms, you may qualify for a special group rate. Contact the Group Travel Department at 800-200-8687 or complete an online proposal request form. The Sea Mist Conference Center will provide meeting and event space for groups of 10-500 persons.
Is there a laundry facility at Sea Mist?
Yes, Bubbles & Suds Laundromat is located on the ocean side of 13th Avenue. In addition, some of our units have washers and dryers.
What appliances do Efficiency Rooms include?
At Sea Mist, a kitchenette consists of an upright refrigerator, microwave, stove, toaster oven, electric coffee pot, pots, and utensils.
Do you have connecting rooms?
No, we do not have connecting rooms. If you have multiple reservations, you can always put in a request to be as close as possible. Although it cannot be guaranteed prior to arrival, we try our best to keep multiple reservations together.
Is there a charge for Sea Mist’s Wahoo Water Park?
No, there is no charge for entry into the Wahoo Water Park. Open during seasonal months only.
Can I bring a friend to the Wahoo Water Park?
Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort’s Wahoo Water Park is a private water park for registered guests only.
Are the swimming pools heated?
No, our pools are not heated.
Does Sea Mist have roll-away beds or cribs?
No, we do not provide roll-away beds or cribs
What about any special requests?
We will do our best to honor any special request that you may have regarding your reservation, however, we are unable to guarantee any special requests.
Does Sea Mist guarantee room types? Yes, we do guarantee room types. When reserving, please make sure that you are selecting the correct view type such as oceanfront, ocean view and resort views. We cannot guarantee specific room numbers or specific floors.
What is the smoking policy?
Smoking is not permitted in any rooms or suites at Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort. There are designated smoking areas throughout the property.
